It was a success! WOW! What a trip! We started our week off with a 10 hour drive to Orlando, FL. With but Disney movies, headphones, Disney coloring books, Nintendo DS we were off to a great start. It was actually a very pleasant drive with three children under the age of eight. We decided to drive down the day before check in and stay at a Hampton Inn off property. That way we could be rested from the drive and ready to play the next morning. We checked in to our Grand Floridian Resort and Spa the next morning at 9am.

And to our surprise, it was ready for us. I love Disney! As we walked into the lobby of the Floridian, we saw the largest Gingerbread House I have ever seen. As we made our way to our room I was surrounded by perfection. My children had so much fun just finding all the Disney characters hidden throughout the resort. It became quite the game all week.
We started the week off at Hollywood Studios. We met up with family that was already there. The first ride? None other that the famous Tower of Terror. Then off to the Rockin Roller Coaster and Toy Story.
The next day we went to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Donald’s Safari Breakfast at Tusker House is an absolute must.

If found that I have developed quite a crush on the Mouse himself……..

We did a bit of park hopping this day too. . . . I don’t recommend that.
We finally got into a good groove the next day. Epcot was on the list and we hit all the countries after breakfast at Akershush with the Princesses. Got the kids faces painted too….
We topped the week off with the Magic Kingdom. The favorite ride of the week is but of course, the Tea Cups. And it wouldn’t be a Disney trip without Dumbo and It’s a Small World. And then there was Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! Yummy hot chocolate and cookies, Christmas shows, Parades and Fireworks. Mickey sure knows how to throw a party. What a beautiful site to see Disney all decorated for Christmas! We woke up one morning and like magic the kingdom was filled with Christmas trees and lights beyond measure. It was a trip that we will talk about for years to come. We are already talking about the next trip back.

I Love Disney!
