Our Walt Disney World Trip!!

It was a success!  WOW!  What a trip!  We started our week off with a 10 hour drive to Orlando, FL.  With but Disney movies, headphones, Disney coloring books, Nintendo DS we were off to a great start.  It was actually a very pleasant drive with three children under the age of eight.  We decided to drive down the day before check in and stay at a Hampton Inn off property.  That way we could be rested from the drive and ready to play the next morning.  We checked in to our Grand Floridian Resort and Spa the next morning at 9am.  059And to our surprise, it was ready for us.  I love Disney!  As we walked into the lobby of the Floridian, we saw the largest Gingerbread House I have ever seen.  As we made our way to our room I was surrounded by perfection.  My children had so much fun just finding all the Disney characters hidden throughout the resort.  It became quite the game all week.
We started the week off at Hollywood Studios.  We met up with family that was already there.  The first ride?  None other that the famous Tower of Terror.  Then off to the Rockin Roller Coaster and Toy Story.
The next day we went to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  Donald’s Safari Breakfast at Tusker House is an absolute must.  002004
If found that I have developed quite a crush on the Mouse himself……..

We did a bit of park hopping this day too. . . . I don’t recommend that.
We finally got into a good groove the next day.  Epcot was on the list and we hit all the countries after breakfast at Akershush with the Princesses.  Got the kids faces painted too….036
We topped the week off with the Magic Kingdom.  The favorite ride of the week is but of course, the Tea Cups.  And it wouldn’t be a Disney trip without Dumbo and It’s a Small World.  And then there was Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! Yummy hot chocolate and cookies, Christmas shows, Parades and Fireworks.  Mickey sure knows how to throw a party.  What a beautiful site to see Disney all decorated for Christmas!  We woke up one morning and like magic the kingdom was filled with Christmas trees and lights beyond measure.  It was a trip that we will talk about for years to come.  We are already talking about the next trip back.  Surprised smile  I Love Disney!

Preparing for Disney!!!!!

Ahhhhhhhh!  It seemed like it would never get here.  We are now preparing to leave for Walt Disney World in a few days.  Unfortunately, I have been so busy this week I have not packed one thing.  :-o  So its crunch time!  This morning I plan to make my list.  Stop and get my nails done (gotta have my priorities).  Come back and work fast and hard.  Packing for five people is not easy.
I went to the dollar store and got the children new Mickey Mouse coloring books for the road.  We pack nothing but Disney movies for the drive down. And it would not be a decent ride without the wonderful Nintendo DS.  They will play against each other on Super Mario for hours.  :-)  I am actually looking forward to the drive down.  It will give Jeff and I a chance to catch up on a lot of talking.  (I'm sure he views this the same way) Haha.
We are meeting up with family went we get there, I am looking forward to seeing my mom down there since she has never been.  I felt like a kid in the candy shop the first time we went.  ;-)
We are getting to stay at the Grand Floridian this time which will be a first for us.  We are super excited.  Our itinerary  includes meals at Akershus, Donald's Safari Breakfast, Sci Fi Dinner Theater, 1900 Park Fare, Boma Restaurant, and Ohana's Breakfast.  We are finishing off our week with tickets to the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  The children don't know about that yet.
We will get to experience the Osborne Family Christmas Display as well.
My list could go on and on of the things that I am sooo excited to see and do at Disney.  But I will fill you in on things when we get back.
I am finding myself becoming very fascinated with anything that has to do with Mickey Mouse.  I really want a Disney Christmas Tree this year but I may have to wait till after Christmas to stock up on Disney ornaments and have one next year.  :-)
Well I'm gonna go get me packing started.  Happy Wednesday and Happy Disney!!!

Gotta love Field Trips!

Of all the field trips I've been on this by far was my favorite.  We went to Golden Flake.  Do you have any idea how good a fresh potato chip tastes right after cooking, when it is still warm.  Oh My!  So good.  I thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with my daughter's class.  Such a sweet group of children.  Next week I get the pleasure of going with my son to the pumpkin patch.  Something tells me I won't love it as much as Golden Flake.  LOL

Check It Out! I'm Blogging!

Ok People!  Can you believe it?!  I'm blogging! So as my children are all in bed asleep, I have spent now 4 hours laying out this blog.  I feel like I probably should have just hired a website designer.  Or I should have bought a book, "Blogging for Dummies".  LOL
So with that said, I think my brain has done all it can handle for one day. ;-)
